It was 12th March 2023, we had to assemble at a meeting point at around 5:00 am, meeting point was Darya Sagar Hotel on Mumbai - Gujarat Highway, just after Varsova Bridge.
I had to wake up at 3:00 am to get fresh and ready to leave by 4:00 am from my house, and my phone alarm helped me to do so. By 5:30 am I reached the assembly point, passing the hurdles of Trucks and Long Trailers on Ghodbunder Road in Thane. There was flyover work going on at Darya Sagar Hotel and a diversion was placed so my friend Chris who reached early took a halt a little ahead at a tea stall. We had to wait for the other two riders who were coming far from Dombivli and Kamothe sides.
As they reached, we had a quick tea and started our ride. Early morning on Gujarat Highway you will always find a lot of traffic because of truckers. Plus lots of bikers ride on Sundays on this highway mostly till Ahura Hotel and back. Ahura Hotel is famous for Kheema Pav, Pav bhaji, Tea, and Coffee. Plus they have their own Masala and a few bakery Items they sell in packets.

We started at around 6:38 am and our first pinned destination was Aswali Dam in Dahanu District. By 9:00 am we reached the Aswali Dam. The road from the highway towards Dahanu is superb and scenic but the internal village Road to Aswali Dam was full of off-roading. My only tension is the tyre burst on off-road patches because my front tyre is too old.
At Aswali Dam we took lots of selfies and videos and made a short vlog too. We were there for 20-25 mins capturing memories and then left towards Bordi Beach. My fellow riders were hungry and starving for breakfast. But that 10km patch towards Bordi from Dam was like 100 kms as it was narrow plus a lot of Off-Roading passing a few small hamlets.

By 9:50 am we reached Bordi and found two ladies selling Khaman Dhokla and mini vada on a cart. We didn't think much and ordered 2 - 2 plates both. Within 5 mins everything was finished and ordered again. Both Items were very tasty and just like homemade. Bordi being on the border of Gujarat, there are many Gujaratis and these ladies were also Gujju and Gujju are Foodie as well as good chefs 😄.
Opposite it there was Shivneri Tea Shop where we had tea not once but twice. The tea was a little sweet but the taste was out of the world. By 10:35 am we finished petpooja and left towards our first Beach Destination of the day - Bordi Beach.
As we reached Bordi Beach, the sea water was very far due to low tide. So we couldn't get a good view and background images. We decided to go ahead towards Dahanu Beach. On the way, our 2nd halt was at Chikhala Beach. This beach also has nice white sand. But due to low tide, it was not picturesque. Here you will find mostly fishermen fishing at the beach.
We found a place to sit at a bench under a shed and relaxed for some time discussing some other travel destinations, politics and blah blah blah. Here we found an interesting tree decoration, check the below image.

I would say this picture is a message that if you throw plastic here and there, in return plastic will grow and not plants or trees. And which will also create an oxygen problem for us in future.
We started our Beach Hoping Voyage again and reached Dahanu Beach. By the time we reached here, the water was at the shore of the beach as it was high tide time in the afternoon. We took our bikes inside a garden and took some pics and had some fun around with the beach in the backdrop.
I like visiting ruined places and I had researched a step well nearby Dahanu. So our next stop was Ghode Bav Well. A well was built for Horses to drink water. This step well is situated in the interior where roads are narrow and not in good condition. When we reached here the road was getting constructed. You can see a few pictures below we took at the well. After some time at the well, we had to leave towards our next beach.
As I said I like to research the location and surrounding area before I visit, so this time it was about an unexplored beach on this route - Wadhvan Beach and so this was our 4th Beach to visit.
It was around 1:30 pm and everybody was hungry and starving for food. So going towards the beach, on Tarapur-Boisar Road we found a Restaurant - Hotel Solitaire which serves both veg and non-veg both, tasty and delicious food.
As we reached near to 1 km of distance towards the beach, the road was closed. There was a kid waiting for a lift. He told us there is an alternate route it was also fully off-road and very narrow where only one bike can be passed. I asked him whether he is going there as he was waiting there. He said yes he stays near the beach, so told him to sit behind me and we will drop him plus we will get easy access to the route. He was happy to help and quickly we took the diverted route. After 500mtrs of Ride from narrow bushes we reached his house where I dropped him, we left ahead and the beach was not far just 300mtrs.
The beach was very scenic with long trees and green grass, we parked our bikes and my friend didn't stop to lie on the ground to relax under the tree shed. It was a very relaxing time we spent here.
After relaxing we left towards our 5th Beach - Chinchani Beach. Here we just took a few selfies and did not stop for much time.
From here we visited Shirgaon Fort. A fort built by the Portuguese in the 16th century A. D. It was captured by Marathas but later again by the Portuguese. The fort is in good condition and maintained by Govt of India and the Archeology dept.
Check the video below showing the whole fort.
After visiting the fort and collecting some memories in photos and videos, we went to nearby Shirgaon Beach, the 6th and last beach of our voyage today. Here we relaxed for some time with some cold drinks. The beach was crowded by the evening and a few water sports were also going on. Sun was about to set for the day, and by the time sun would disappear we started to load up and leave for home. By 9:00 pm I was home and others too reached before 10:00 pm to their respective locations. And by this, the Sunday ended with loads of memories.
