BAC MUMBAI Meetup with BAC HYDERABAD Riders

Bajaj Avenger Club has chapters all over India and outside as well, and whenever club riders visit the city where BAC Chapter is available, we organize an official Meetup - it is a small gesture to welcome the riders. We meet on breakfast or lunch or dinner, discuss their ride plans ahead, future rides, share experiences and take their ride experiences and much more.

So this time BAC Hyderabad Chapter Riders were on a South West Coast Ride. Their route was Hyderabad to Kanyakumari, Alleppey, Kochi, Mangalore, Udupi, Murudeshwar, Goa, Mumbai, Pune and back to Hyderabad via Solapur. As part of admins team of BAC Mumbai, I had to organize and plan a meetup at a location where they don't get stuck in traffic plus our riders also reach on time, as it was decided for a lunch meetup, I had to find a good restaurant in a center location for everybody to reach without any inconvenience.

Meetup date was decided 1st April and I came to know this just one day before as they were running late. So on 31st March, I called few restaurants to confirm whether they open for lunch as not all restaurants in Navi Mumbai area are open specially those who have big dinning space and are near to highway. I called Chenab Restaurant which is in Vashi as we had good experience earlier over here and confirmed them about their opening timings, the guy on call said they are open on lunch time as well even when the google map was showing that they are open after 6:30pm. Another restaurant was shortlisted was Shikara at Sanpada.

We gave first preference to Chenab Rest and decided to meet here. I spread the message of the meetup and most of the riders from Mumbai were ready. On the day of Meetup, we reached the restaurant location and it was deserted as the construction work was going on, first of all I thought restaurant has been shifted and there was no one to enquire. After sometime there was restaurant waiter coming out to whom I asked if it open, and he said NO. I was shocked as somebody from restaurant gave me confirmation of being open during afternoon. Quickly I had to take decision, so decided to go for the 2nd Option which was shortlisted, Shikara at Sanpada. Shared the location with all the attendees and also the guest riders from Hyderabad as everybody had reached the meeting spot already.

Shikara was just 2 kms away so it was not a big issue for anybody. And it was on highway which was best for them to leave towards Pune without any traffic issue. Everybody reached the new location and met all, greeted everybody and took a large table for 8 ppl and after lot of discussion on their ride plans, we ordered Paneer Do Aab, Chicken Lababdar, Curd Rice, Rotis and Naan, Fresh Lime Soda, Watermelon Punch, Masala Papad, Drinking Water, thats it.

After lunch, we had some photography session, greeted all the riders and everybody left towards their destination. This is how we had brotherhood chapter meetup of Bajaj Avenger Club Mumbai and Hyderabad.
